You make me happy You make me sad You are the very one I've never had
You make me lonely You'd make me proud If I were not only a face to have around How can I make me the one you come home to The one that you trust and confide Your deepest secrets
Now that we’ve got here And the moments so near I wish I could make my inhibitions disappear
But I cannot speak now Or maybe you cannot hear But all my intentions become so very clear
How can I make me the one you fancy too? The one that you trust and confide Your deepest secrets
You are the one that I have wanted all my life The one to lead me through the valleys and the strife Would you beseech me and tell me what to do? And then you could teach me all about Your deepest secrets |

| 2. | Miles Away | Play | Miles Away
I’m miles away from everything And getting further from you everyday I cannot see the light I cannot stop this plight What happened to the days when I was so full of life?
Come and look around As we go from town to town You know that you mean so much to me But soon you’re gonna leave
I’m tired as hell tonight And I can’t do a damn thing right I’m not gonna sit here and feed you full of lies
I cannot see the light I cannot stop this fight It’s been raging on for so many years Why the hell am I so full of fear?
Searching for the answers To our existence here I’m just sleeping my life away And soon you won’t be near
I cannot find my way So won’t you please stay And help me out with this So we can find some form of bliss
We’re getting awfully near To the end of the road my dear And yet some how I just can’t see That the answer is right in front of me |

| 3. | Stuck In a Rut | Play | Stuck In a Rut
I’m stuck in a rut Will I make it out in time? I’m covered in mud Has it all been a waste of time? What have I done?
All of my memories have been taken by the tide I’m left full of sorrow, clinging on to life I hope they’ll return tomorrow For that I’ll wait here
(Ba-da-bah-bah…)
I struggle to see Under blinding neon lights No that couldn’t be me Drowning in the regrets of life Oh, the uncertainty
All of my memories have been taken by the tide I’m still stuck in this rut, but it’s not been a waste of time Yeah, I’m stuck in this rut But I will go on
(Ba-da-bah-bah…) |

Hammer head, mask the chiseled face Stop your reign of turnip skies Keep your felt handguns and paper knives Run your war on home All it does is feed a thousand times a day
Guess all that time you spent Oiling your machine really paid off Didn't it?
Your chrome smile, so charming Your skin impenetrable Seems like yesterday there were fewer holidays Described as pride and joy
Guess all that time you spent Oiling your machine really paid off Didn't it? |

"Paper Knives" was originally tracked in Fall 2005 with Rob on acoustic guitar, bass, keyboard and harmonica, while I supplied the electric guitar, vocals, drums and additional keyboard. Unfortunately, the audio files for that session were accidentally deleted and the song had to be re-tracked in early 2006. The current recording features myself along with Heath West on drums. |

| 5. | Leave Your Blues | Play | Leave Your Blues
I'm looking around for the road that'll take me home Seems like I'm always searching for something when I sing these songs Where could it be? Where could it be? I always sneak in the back and then I'm out the door.
I'm not a believer anymore.
Bad luck goes out with the blues I think I'll leave them at the door There ain't much jump in these shoes I think I'll leave them on the floor And then we'll see, yeah and then we'll see Who the winner is when the other one gets bored
I'm not a believer anymore I'm not a believer anymore
I tried to look the other way As you sat their in dismay You thought that you'd embarrassed all who knew that you existed From a distance I tried not to stare And act as though I didn't care But I could not just leave you there Tearing your heart out
So leave your blues at the door And come on in for more Leave your blues at the door And come on in for more
Leave your blues....at the door |

| 6. | Reap What You Sow | Play | Reap What You Sow
Time is changing all the precious moments Speeding up the good and slowing down the rest So you take up your burdens and you bear them where you lay your head Rest when you can and pray for the dead
But if you've gotta leave I'll be there to hold your hand If you can't go, I know you'll stay
The people are all sleeping and the vines are getting ripe They speak of the sky and the things that they know But if you keep on walking in the manner that you were You'll put your foot in the oven and your name on a stone
I know you love the way you know how to, and Everyone thinks that their way is right That they're right
But it's not what you think, it's what you've become And if you plant enough seeds you'll reap what you sow Change is a process and forgiveness is graced And if you think that you're perfect you've a long way to go
Wise men they say that they don't know everything Foolish men cry that they know it all
But the people were all sleeping and the vines are getting ripe Everyone thinks that their way is right |

You were not there You're no longer by my side I'm left to sit and stare Wondering where you'd hide I'm running out of space In my tired mind You left without a trace I wonder will I find...you at all?
I'll never give up hope Though I'm running out of time I will not sit and mope Cause the fault is only mine I'll try to make things right Try to make up for my crimes I'll be with you tonight Just give me one last try
I'll try to make things right I need a release from this kind of life From this melancholy plight From this hindrance of sight I'm gonna make things right Gonna make up for my crimes I'll be with you tonight Just give me one last try |

Where is this merciful God I here about? Does anybody know if he is there? They always talk about him, but my mind is full of doubt I don’t see him, I don’t feel him anywhere
If this right here is mercy, well then I’d hate to see him mad But fire and brimstone might not be all that bad Compared to all the bullshit he’s been raining down on us After all the troubles he knows that we have had
Where were you when I was calling out your name? You were not here, you must have been with someone else I’m getting so damn tired of calling out your name But maybe you will be there this time You will be there this time |

I will find my way Out of this lost inhabitance And I have wanted to see you through To the end of our world
I will find my way Through all this trouble and debris And I hoped that you would be there too I had so many hopes for you Yes I had…I had
I will find my way Through all this trouble and debris And I hoped that you would be there too I had so many hopes for you But I will…I will I will, I will see it through till the end I will, I will see it through till the end I will, I will |
